Lauren is a native of Virginia Beach where she began her classical ballet training under the direction of Sandra Balestracci at Eastern Virginia School for the Performing Arts. She was accepted into The HARID Conservatory’s year round program on a full tuition scholarship which she attended until her senior year of high school. Her professional career started with Nashville Ballet under the direction of Paul Vasterling. There she performed numerous corps de ballet and soloist roles in classical ballets such as Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Peter Pan, Macbeth, Carmina Burana, George Balanchine’s Serenade and Western Symphony, and various original works by Paul Vasterling, Christopher Stuart, Judson Veach, and Stephen Mills. After her fulfilling six-year career, she is now working toward her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She hopes to specialize in dancer rehabilitation and feels her dance background will aid her as a physical therapist. She is beyond grateful for the opportunities given to her at BellA and enjoys watching the student’s growth to be the best dancer and person they can be.
